And so it begins…….
I’ve stalled, and I’ve run out of excuses...It’s time!
This website and Facebook page is not only a support for my yoga teaching and Wellness work, but it is a platform for bringing the worlds of yoga and nutrition together for you – because both are about bringing mindfulness to our lives.
It’s time for us to shine not to shrink.
Now, I'm not trying to discourage you, but if one chooses a medium such as this with which to work, one would assume dexterity with the written word.
...Unfortunately that is not me.
I now preface all that follows:
I am not a writer.
I am a wordsmith only in my dreams.
My editing is haphazard at best.
Therein lies the challenge...No doubt I will stumble.
But there is a certain freedom in the stumble don’t you think?
Life becomes a little less paralyzing and a little more interesting
when the fear of screwing up is shown the door. This should apply to no matter what we do.
To this end, I offer you:
Brevity without losing the juiciness.
Intelligent words based on research.
Words to ponder, words to engage.
So forgive me my flaws, and my incorrect grammar. I invite you to stumble along with me in creating a space for education and practices to nourish your life. So just enjoy the content – some of it will speak to you, some of it won’t.
Absorb what resonates. Discard what doesn’t.
In celebrating this launch, please join me in raising a glass of your favourite bubbles (because bubbles are good for the soul), or vibrant green juice (great for the body and belly), and let’s make a toast to inquiring minds, vitality, courage, flexibility and love.
And for our drinks o’clock, here is a little something I whipped up to share with you all:
1 can chickpeas rinsed and drained
1 can chopped beetroot drained
2 garlic cloves roughly chopped
1 tblspn tahini
1 tblspn lemon juice
2 tblspn olive oil
place chickpeas, beetroot, garlic, tahini and lemon juice
into a food processor. With the motor running slowly add the olive oil.
Serve with crunchy carrot sticks...a taste sensation!
