Down the road from me is a paddock...or was. The paddock has now had mountains of dirt put down so that houses can be built. I watch everyday, as, little by little, the ground gets higher (it was/ is a flood zone – I spent years in Hong Kong, so watching land be reclaimed for human habitation is nothing new!). Lots of time, effort and, I am sure, stacks of cash has been thrown at this block to give it good foundations.
This is a long slow process.
How many of us renovate our homes to make them more functional, better to be in, so they look more beautiful, or
so they ‘work’ better?
I’m sorry, I have but one question at this point….
WHAT ABOUT YOU??
We make our external environments great to be in, but, to be honest, if we feel like crap on the inside, no amount of conservatory building, room enlarging, or feature wall painting, is going to make us feel great for any amount of extended period. It’s just another panacea, or superficial fix.
You may be starting to make promises to yourself about starting another diet, or starting to eat a little better….now that the weather is starting to change.
Apart from losing those kilos, (because there is always THAT), how do you want to really feel?
Whether or not you are joining us for 5 days of REBOOT TO RENEW, it is a good time to look at what you have been consuming of late.
Have you been including too many bad boys in your diet?
The main offenders are:
- processed foods
- dairy products.
Start to think of your own self-renovation.
You have to begin with some sort of excavation...a bit of a spring clean to remove the accumulated debris…a necessity before we lay the foundations of healthier eating and lifestyle practices.
Just like a house reno, this takes time.
Just plant the seed of intention, and start thinking about how you might re
novate your life...it's not easy. Removing debris is bloody hard work.
Are you going to be a reliable builder of your own wellness?
It's really up to you to commit to a healthier version of you.
It's not necessary to knock down and rebuild...a ittle renovation may be all you need!
