a word or phrase spoken or repeated silently that infuses the meaning of the mantra into the fabric of our being, and helps to set an intention with the purpose of transformation.
I don't always use a yogic term or phrase, but it always allows me to sit with the situation at hand. (Although when things go really haywire my mantra might not exactly be printable and is way not yogic!)
One phrase I have been using this week is:
embrace the chaos of incomplete
We are going headlong into the time of year where there is lots to be done. Things to organise, places to go, people to see.
It's tempting to want to finish everything and fix things before being there for yourself, or someone else, but the reality is, there is and always be SOMETHING.Life is chaos. It's messy. We can create order ( being organised certainly makes things simpler and easier) but sometimes the simplest, and easiest way to focus is to accept that things will rarely be simple and easy.
Sometimes the best we can do is focus on just one thing, knowing full well there are lots of other things that will just have to wait.We began and ended this weeks classes with:Energy flows where attention goes.
Where is your head and heart today?
Where does your energy lie?
Can you cut yourself some slack this weekend, and just do what you can do....or not?
Take some time, re-group, and....
