Every week I come to class, I feel privileged to be able to offer this practice of yoga to you and to watch you progress in your practices.
Yoga creates shifts, and in these past few weeks I have seen so many of you blossom both with your physical practices, and with your attention to yourselves...and we all know THAT is the most important thing.
Yoga is so deeply nourishing for the body and mind. I was reminded last week just how my yoga mat feels like a magic carpet the moment I step on it. Feeling unsettled, and unbalanced, yoga is a place to come to rest my emotions. To find peace, be with myself and listen. It's also a place to celebrate. And expand. And connect.
I am always deeply grateful to re-remember just how powerful yoga can be. Work with the body you have brought with you today I know...I say this ALL the time. But it's SOOO important to be reminded. We all get caught up in striving that we forget that on our mat we just don't need to. We can just be ourselves. Well done everyone for working with this idea to make your yoga practice one that is nurturing for your body, mind and spirit.
the ego looks for what to criticise.
this always involves comparing with the past.
but love looks upon the world peacefully and accepts.
the ego searches for shortcomings and weaknesses.
love watches for any sign of strength.
it sees how far each has come and not how far he has to go.
how simple it is to love and exhausting it is to find faults, for
everytime we see a fault we think something needs to be done about it.
love knows that nothing is ever needed but more love.
it is what we all do with our hearts that affects others most deeply.
it is not the movements of our body or the words
within our mind that transmit love.
we love from heart to heart.
